Sri Ramakrishna (1836-1886)

Whoever wants God intensely, finds Him. Go and verify it in your own life.
Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna was born in the village of Kamarpukar in West Bengal on February 18, 1836 and brought up there. He spent most of his life in the temple of Kali (Mother Goddess) on the Bank of River Ganges in Dakshineshwar. Outwardly he seemed to be a rustic and commoner but, he was the Consummation of two thousand years of the spiritual life of three hundred million people. He stood for the universality of all religions. His famous teachings are “As Many Faiths, So Many Paths”. It was he who carved Swami Vivekananda out of Agnostic Narendra. Today he is worshipped as Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna, an incarnation of the Supreme Power.

Sri Sarada Devi (1853-1920)

If you want peace, don't find fault with others, but find your own faults. Learn to make the world your own. Nobody is a stranger, my dear, the world is yours.
The Holy Mother Sri Sharada Devi was born in a village Jayaram Bati in Bengal and married to Sri Ramakrishna at an early age of 6 Years. Sri Ramakrishna was aged 23 years at that time. It was a Unique Marriage unheard of in the history of humanity. She proved to be the alter ego of Sri Ramakrishna who worshipped her as the very incarnation of Goddess Kali.

Her compassion was unconditional. Sinners and saints found equally affectionate welcome in her presence. Living like a common woman doing all the household chores, she could yet lift those who sought her to great spiritual heights. She was purity personified and was a living demonstration of the ideal of the motherhood of God. After the passing away of husband, she remained a guardian and source of inspiration to the Disciples of Bhagawan. Today she is worshipped as Mother Goddess by every one.

Swami Vivekananda (1863-1902)

Money does not pay, nor name; fame does not pay, nor learning. It is life that pays; it is character that cleaves its way through adamantine walls of difficulties.
Swami Vivekananda was born Narendra Dutta, son of a rich lawyer of Calcutta Vishwanatha Dutta and Bhuvaneshwari Devi. Narendra was a marvellous blend of all excellences. He learnt Indian epics and puranas from his mother. He completed his college education leading to B.A. He was spiritual from the beginning. But he had a doubt about the existence of God. Bhagawan Sri Ramakrishna cleared all his doubts and shaped him as a Spiritual Missionary and Visionary. He traveled widely and attended the Parliament of World Religions at Chicago and became an instant success. He worked for the emancipation of Indians till his end in the year 1902.
