Youth Meet ( 13th May 2007 )
A Discourse on "Powers of Positive Attitude" by Swami Nirbhayananda Saraswathi
Ramakrishna-Vivekananda Ashram, Tumkur had organised a "YOUTH MEET" for the
students of the Department of M.C.A of Sree Siddhartha Institute Of Technology (S.S.I.T), Tumkur on 13th May 2007
in Ashrama.
Rev. Swami Nirbhayananda Saraswathi, President of Ramakrishna-Vivekananda
Ashram, Gadag-Bijapur, spoke for over an hour on the topic "POWERS OF POSITIVE ATTITUDE" and later answered
many questions from the students pertaining to Character Development.
Prof. D Ramesh, H.O.D of M.C.A, S.S.I.T inaugurated the Youth Meet and opined
that such programs are necessary for Modern Youth & expressed his gratitude towards Ramakrishna Ashram for organising the program.
The Program was presided by Sri Ravi Ram, Senior Lecturer, M.C.A, S.S.I.T and Prof. Karunakar
(H.O.D, Department of Info Science, S.S.I.T) graced the Occasion as Chief Guest.

"Yuva Viveka Saptaha" ( January 8th - 14th 2007 )
On the Occasion of the 142nd Birthday of Swami Vivekananda
"Vivekananda Yuvaka Sangha" (Youth Forum) is functioning
actively from 3 years under the guidance of Swami Veereshananda Saraswathi, the President of Ramakrishna-Vivekananda
Ashram, Tumkur. The aim of the sangha is to guide & train the youth towards developing a strong,
all-round personality as envisioned by Swami Vivekananda.
In order to spread the life building, character-making & man-making
ideas of Swami Vivekananda, the youth forum had organised a week long programme called "Yuva Viveka Saptaha"
from January 8th to January 14th 2007 in various schools, colleges & hostels across tumkur city on the occasion
of the 142nd birthday of Swami Vivekananda...

Citizenship Training Camp - April 2007
(for the students of S.V.S D.Ed college, Tumkur)
Ramakrishna-Vivekananda Ashrama,
in co-operation with S.V.S D.Ed College, Tumkur had organised a "Citizenship Training Camp"
on 26th, 27th & 28th of April 2007 in Ashram for the students of S.V.S D.Ed College. The
program was inaugurated by Rev.Swami Nirbhayananda Saraswathi, President,
Ramakrishna-Vivekananda Ashrama, Gadag-Bijapur & Rev.Swami Veereshananda Sarswathi, President,
Ramakrishna-Vivekananda Ashrama, Tumkur graced the occasion with his August
presence.
Dr.S.V.Subramaniam, Senior Scientist, Indian
Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore delivered the valedictory speech on 26th April 2007.
The three day programme included lectures on various subjects from distinguished orators &
thinkers on topics that stimulated thinking among the audience.
