"Vivekananda Yuvaka Sangha" (Youth Forum) is functioning actively from 3 years under the guidance of Swami Veereshananda Saraswathi, the President of Ramakrishna-Vivekananda Ashram, Tumkur. The aim of the sangha is to guide & train the youth towards developing a strong, all-round personality as envisioned by Swami Vivekananda.
      In order to spread the life building, character-making & man-making ideas of Swami Vivekananda, the youth forum had organised a week long programme called "Yuva Viveka Saptaha" from January 8th to January 14th 2007 in various schools, colleges & hostels across tumkur city on the occasion of the 142nd birthday of Swami Vivekananda.
      About 8 Colleges, 1 School & 3 Hostels were covered in 6 days & a youth convention marking the end of the week long programme was held in Ashrama on the 7th day.
      Rev. Swami Veereshananda Saraswathi addressed the students & teachers on all 7 days & called upon them to undertake a serious study of the life & works of Swami Vivekananda who is the sole role model before the Youth today. The members of the Yuvaka Sangha along with Swamiji rendered Songs pertaining to Moral & Spiritual themes.
      The "Vivekananda Study Center" in Vidyanikethan P.U College, Tumkur was also formally inaugurated by Swamiji on the first day of the saptaha.
